Little Big Truck (LBT) was created here in Fort McMurray by two West Coasters who have called this town home since early 2006. So while the owners still have a hint of sea salt and granola in their blood, there's nothing but bitumen in the veins of LBT. If you like, you can read more about us.
Wikipedia defines asphaltenes as molecular substances that are found in crude oil. There's no real reason why we chose its structure as our first "science shirt", but keep checking back for more designs.
To read more on asphaltenes, check out Wikipedia's full definition.
Justifiably the coolest insect around, the bug is known as the Tar Sand Beetle to locals in Ft McMurray, but to entomologists it's known as the White-spotted Sawyer. Part of the Long-horned Beetle family, they're thought to be attracted to the oil sands because of a chemical compound that is released when bitumen is exposed. One theory to explain the attraction is that this compound resembles a chemical released from damaged trees - their natural food source.
While the Tar Sand Beetle is quite large for an insect, it is practically harmless. It flies slowly and has its own signature sound that lets you know it's nearby. However, like most creatures, if it feels threatened it will take a bite out of you.

The more feedback we receive, the better our understanding of our customers becomes and the happier you, our customer, become. If you send us a design and we print it you will be compensated, not with millions of dollars, but rather with LBT gear and gift certificates.
That's great! While we currently work with only a few of local retailers, we are always on the lookout for other interested retailers. Contact us and we'll talk!

Sorry about that. Sometimes there'll be a run on a particular product, like say for example our Popular t-shirt, and it'll go out of stock before you can say "asphaltene" and before we can update our web site. On the very rare occasion that we do run out of stock of a particular product, it's usually about 3 weeks before it'll come back into stock.
Stay tuned, and please contact us and let us know which shirt(s) interests you. The more information we receive from you, the better we are able to meet your desires.
We're always looking to add new products to our lineup - check back with us often.
We sure can - just send us an e-mail and we'll add you to our list. We promise not to sell your information - ever.
Yes - in fact we don't even handle your credit card, we let PayPal do all the heavy lifting. They're the number one site in the world for processing online payments safely and securely. We also have our own Privacy Policy for your viewing pleasure.
